TASK 1.
For our first task we had to use a clipping mask to change the pattern of the man's suit. There were 3 layers, the background layer of the man, the layer of the suit, and the third layer of the pattern. We had to map the pattern given onto his suit. Creating the clipping mask mapped the pattern onto the jacket however it looked fake, and more of a cut out, this was solved by changing the layer mode.

TASK 2.
Next we used layers masks. We were given a picture of Shakira and had to create a focus on her and not the background. To achieve this we had to duplicate he layer and apply gaussian blur. So the blur layer was now covering the clear layer below. Using layer mask and a soft brush, painting over Shakira in black revealed the clear layer behind. Here is the before and after.

TASK 3.
Next we used the healing tool. We were given a picture of the woman and had to remove the moles on her face and the freckles. What we had to do was using the healing brush tool, hold down the option key and select clear skin near to the pole then use that sample to cover it up.

TASK 4.
Next we were given an expressionless man and had to use the liquify tool to make him look happier. The hard part was to make it look natural. To do this, i had to move each part little by little and make small amendments instead of drastic changes.

TASK 5
Next we moved on to patching and cloning. We were given 2 pictures, one in which we had to clone her eyeball and one to do patching. We started off with the cloning. By using clone stamp we cloned a woman's eyeball. Then we did patching to a woman's eyes to remove crows feet.

TASK 6
Next we moved on to colour change. We were given a purple building and we had to change the colour of it. Under colour replacement, all that needs to be done was to elect the colour of the building that we wanted to change and select a different colour.

TASK 7
Next we had a picture of a clear blue sky, and using colour range, had to change it to a preset picture we had. Similar to the previous task, we had to select the area to change. After selecting the area, we deleted it to reveal the background of the clouds. However this worked for this picture very well as only the sky was blue, if other areas were blue, it would have been deleted as well.

Lastly, we had to use colour replacement tool to change the colour of the woman's blouse. We had to manually paint the colour onto her blouse.

After completing all the tasks, we had one last project to put our skills to the test, we had to create a motivational poster using what we have learnt from photoshop.

In conclusion today's lesson was enjoyable as we learnt some new tools and did some interesting things with the software. Some difficulties were face but we overcame it and manage to achieve what we set out to do.
